This is a play on reality and illusion. A painting covers the side walls of 2 old houses on a street corner in Capestang, Canal du Midi, France. It depicts a quaint, french, small town street and house front scene, and is one of the best examples of this kind of street art, trompe l'oeil mural I have ever seen, with the painted on illusion houses perfectly integrated with the real ones. I didn't notice anything odd when walking up the street, I was almost there when I realized that things were not as they seemed. (A trompe l'oeil (French for deceive the eye), is an art technique that uses realistic imagery to create the optical illusion that the depicted objects exist in three dimensions.)
