This is Starfleet Command. No, this futuristic building is actually the Library & Learning Center, the heart of the WU Campus (University of Economics), Vienna, Austria. The building was designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, Hamburg. Its asymmetrical, cantilevered roof is visible from afar, and the prominent glassfronted monitor, characteristic of Zaha Hadid's designs, faces Prater Park. Black and white photograph, young people - students and also some children - are in the foreground, symbolism of a bright future.
The new campus of Vienna's University of Economics is a collective, architectural production, an ensemble of buildings designed by six internationally renowned architects: NO.MAD Arquitectos (Madrid), CRABstudio (London), Estudio Carme Pinos (Barcelona), Zaha Hadid Architects (Hamburg), BUSarchitektur ZT GmbH (Vienna) and Atelier Hitoshi Abe (Sendai).
